Our Term 2 Inquiry - Our Physical World

In Term 2 we were learning about Our Physical World and the changes that happen in it. We had a syndicate Science day in Room 20 and completed heaps of experiments like the cup phone, how to make a light bend, what is friction and how does it make things heat up, and the water twister (how tornadoes are made).

Room 18's kaleidoscopes 

After this we recorded our big ideas/questions and presented our findings to all the classes in the UMS and Seniors.

We learnt about magnetism, weather, sound, and much more. Scientific!

Geometry and Pattern Making

We have been learning to create patterns in Geometry using coloured objects and number sequences. Here are some of our patterns that we made. Can you work out what shape or colour comes next?

Pulleys and Levers

Hi,
Today our reading group read a book on levers and pulleys and how they make machines work. After reading we got some of the Science equipment from Room 20 and had some hands-on time with the levers and pulleys.
